Came down the western talus slope directly to Boreas Pass.Nice hike from Boreas Pass, the aspens are starting to turn.Second time up, with Volz BM and PT 12700 B via a loop tour from Selkirk Gulch. Hiked the rest of the way to the pass and climbed Boreas Mountain from there.Very interesting mining evidence up near the summit...Both every year from 82-86ish, then again in 07.Climbed solo with an out an back traverse to PT 12700B to the east and then on to "Madonna Dome" on the west side of the pass. Breezy and cool, but a nice clear morning. Great views from up there.Hiked with my flatlander parents and our dogs.
Adventured out to do Sunrise on 10/9, the trail is easy to moderate, well marked and maintained with great views at two lookouts facing north and a wider view at the summit.
