I sent them back to AE and was given a full refund.I would not use the Saphir or the AE Conditioner Cleaner on either of those colors (bourbon or oxblood).To me, this is an entirely backwards way of looking at things. One of the best all-purpose shoe cleaner and conditioner cream in the world. If using Saphir polishes for the first time, use Saphir Reno'Mat to remove any deposits of silicone, resin, or accumulated wax. Renovateur is a little more oily than Venetian Shoe Cream and it darkened the boot a little more, but only by a shade or so. Mink oil is not a bad leather conditioner, but for dress shoes it's a disaster. It is often mistaken for a ‘summer only’ affair, but given the right care and attention, suede should be worn and enjoyed all year round.
