EXCURSIONS - We had a blast visiting the boardwalk in Christiansted which is less than 10 mins away, We did the amazing ATV tour with Gecko Island Adventures, we sailed with Black Beard Tours to Buck Island which was incredible and beautiful, Point Udall/Isaac Bay is about 20 minutes away and we hiked the grueling trail to the Annaly Bay Tide Pools which I would NOT recommend for kids or if you have limitations. Vincent & Juan took great care of us every day during breakfast at Elements. The dining room at The Mermaid Restaurant is opening for all meal periods with reservations required.Room service is available during restaurant hours. It is SUPER WINDY IN ST. CROIX so bring a hat! 5 stars across the board.We just got back and had a great time at the Buccaneer and St. Croix! Staff was sitting around with their feet up and literally told him to wait. There were not many people when we visited July 4th to the 11th 2020, so we had no problem getting lounge chairs at the beach any time of the day. The sand is nice with some shells so be careful walking. The only thing we wished for was that the hot tub was warmer!From the 1st point of communication Diane and the entire staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Taxes and fees that are shown are estimates only. The grounds are well kept, with al old sugar mill on the property and a nice beach. And this is with an automatic 18% service charge. We had breakfast included with our room rate, but waiting 15 min for a waiter just to come to our table was not worth it. Vincent & Juan took great care of us every day during breakfast at Elements. Taxis cost anywhere from $10.00 one way and up depending where you go. You can make selections from each category and also have the weekly special so you get a lot of food for breakfast. The sand is nice with some shells so be careful walking. DRIVING - We rented a car from Judi Car Rental and they are amazing!! We saw the OV rooms up in the main hotel and they appear to be rather small. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but not very interested in doing work. For travellers visiting Christiansted, The Buccaneer St Croix is an excellent choice for rest and rejuvenation. Water is nice and swimmable. Great amenity. Please inform your server at the beginning of your meal of any preferences or allergies so we can ensure your needs are met. I'd rather not have breakfast.or coffee at all, just not to endure this horrible ignorance.
Driving on the left can be scary as the drivers in St. Croix are very aggressive and drive fast. Unless other restaurants open. Angela was super helpful at the concierge and very knowledgeable about the island.

To wait for what? Obviously its during covid, so we expected some of this, just expected a bit more for the $500+/night.From the moment we arrived at the resort everyone was friendly and accommodating.
There seemed to be plenty of staff, but not very interested in doing work. Rooms could use some deep cleaning on the baseboards and walls but overall room was more than satisfactory!
